B-Day

Hey crafty friends. I wanted to share a layout I did today. I used a sketch for a challenge at colorful creations 2014. The sketch is a fun one. It has one photo on it and I used two photos and made it in to one. The paper is VERY  busy I know. I got it from another swap over at scrapbook.com . The challenge over there is the UGLY PAPER CHALLENGE. The two papers seemed to be birthday themed. I will show a photo of the papers below. The big title is also from a swap over at scrapbook.com. I thought it was time I started to use up all these swaps I seem to keep joining.

Below is my 2 pieces of "ugly" paper and a embellishment. As you can see the papers clash bad. The rules are you have to use both pieces, at least 90%. So I used one  as background (right one) and cut the other up. Used it as a photo mat and cut some presents and hearts from it. There is not much left. I used a red and blue piece from the CRICUT Paper Pad, Celebrations 40-1603 for under the photos.

So there you have my take on the challenge and sketch over at Colorful Creations. Why don't you try one of there sketches one day? I'd love to see what you come up with.
