We're so happy you could join us for this super-fun hop showcasing cards and layouts that showcases what came first in our lives. Scrapbooking or Stamping. This will be a fun hop as we all know what it was like in the very beginning. Be sure to leave a comment at each hop stop to be entered in our Monthly Drawing (details available at Lynda's Blog)
If you've hopped over from Claire, then you are in the right place!! If you've just popped in to visit my blog or are reading this via email and you'd like to join our FUN, then please go to Lynda's blog to start at the beginning...
Well for me that is easy, SCRAPBOOKING came first. I started back in 2000 and as you will see my pages are pretty plain.
Well thanks for stopping by and checking out my progress in the scrapping world. Your next stop is over at Rachaels place.
Enjoy the rest of the hop and please make sure you stop by all of the blogs because the ladies are all wonderful.
Your layouts have certainly become more sophisticated, Rhonda...More layouts from early days (high school) look much like your beginning layouts. I was just glad that I had my cousin to teach me the basics. I was petrified in the beginning that I would waste all of this paper and embellies on something no one would want to look at but she was a great instructor and while I do not put out those magazine quality layouts I do enjoy what I have done. Thanks for sharing..I think we all have grown along the way..:)

Rhonda, how refreshing to look back and see how far you've come! Don't forget, that those early day pages are probably the BEST memories yet and at least they are down on paper and not in a shoe box! Your new l/o's are beautiful..enjoy the journey of discovery.

I enjoyed looking at your layouts Rhonda... my beginning layouts look so similar to yours. I used a lot of stickers back in the day and now that I have my cricut and pazzles, I rarely use stickers anymore either. Thanks for sharing your layouts with us Rhonda! :)
ReplyDeleteYour layouts are great, thank you so much for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing how we all have progressed. :-) You have already been by my blog... but have to say... that is all I had too, plain paper and stickers. Fun stuff!!
ReplyDeleteI think we all started out scrapping the same way-with decorative scissors, stickers and very basic die cuts. lol My how things have changed!! Your lo's are all adorable even the older ones!! I love to see how each of us have grown with our layouts!

It is amazing to see how the art of scrap booking has grown and what lovely memories we all have. Your earlier layouts look like my first Creative Memories Crop page and my Wedding album which is a work in progress!! Youe pages are very inspiring and beautiful now!!

You have definitely come a longg way!! It's so funny to see how everyone was so simplistic in their scrapping back then!
ReplyDeleteI am so with you- cutting around pics, using fancy scissors and lots of stickers. You've come a long way baby.

ReplyDeleteLove seeing how your talent has grown.
ReplyDeleteSo fun seeing how everyone started out. I did the same thing with my photo's - cut around them. No matting, nothing!! Amazing how far we've all come!! Love your work and seeing how you've come along!
ReplyDeleteRhonda, I remember using construction paper in my beginning scrapbooks -- If I had pretty colored paper like you did, I would have used it too!! :) What a treat to see how you've progressed -- I'm so glad you shared your story with us!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in the hop!!
