Bird's Of A Feather Blog Hop..

Welcome to the Team Queen bi-weekly blog hop for Scrapping With Lisa’s Designs.

Team Queen of my Craft room is working on the same bird files as Team Princess used last week. We really wanted to show the versatility of the wonderful files that Lisa creates.

This week the team was provided the files and asked to use as many of them in their project as possible. We wanted to see one cohesive project. I think you will be pleased with the work the team has done, and I hope you will take the time to fly to my Sister Design Team Members blogs and see what they have created with this file. I am sure you will be pleased.

One nice thing about Paper Piecing is the ability to cut the files out with a machine, or you can cut them out by hand if you do not have the capabilities of using your machine. Lisa provides digital images of each pattern as well. This means that you can print and color as you desire.

I personally cut all of Lisa's awesome designs by hand and then paper piece them. It's kinda a relaxing time for me.
For my project this week I made a sign or my kids. Bucky and Leo, my parakeets :O)   I used a blank wooden sign I got from Wal-mart. I painted it a pop'n green and then went over it with silver glitter, I painted the outside edge with a gold but you can't hardly see it. I used this bird file to make my birds. I tried hard to make them represent my babies. Bucky is green and a little yellow and Leo is yellow with a little green.  I used scrap paper, ink, feathers to make my birds. The flower I got in a swap. I took white letters and colored them in with Close to my heart markers in yellow and green.
Here is my project:
